Refund Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get money back from us. It complements the Terms of Service §5 — that section is the short version, this page is the long version with examples.
Short version: subscriptions are non-refundable; you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. We do refund billing errors and EU consumers retain their statutory cooling-off rights at checkout. We may revisit this policy in the future.
1. Cancellation Is Always Free
You can cancel any subscription at any time, with no fee, no questions, and no friction:
- From inside the Service: Settings → Billing → Manage Billing.
- Directly from Paddle's customer portal (a link is included in every Paddle receipt email).
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep using the plan you paid for until that date. We do not pro-rate the unused remainder of a paid period and we do not refund completed periods.
2. When We Do Refund
We refund only in the following narrow cases, where doing so is either a legal requirement or simply the right thing to do:
- Billing errors — duplicate charges, the wrong plan billed, or taxes computed incorrectly. (Note: Paddle handles tax calculation; in the rare event of a tax error we coordinate with Paddle and refund the difference.)
- Unauthorized charges — you did not initiate the transaction (e.g. fraud). Contact us first; we will work with Paddle to reverse the charge.
To request a refund in one of these cases, email [email protected] with your order ID (in the Paddle receipt) and a short description. We respond within 5 business days.
3. EU Consumer Cooling-Off Right
If you are a consumer (natural person not buying for business purposes) resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any country with equivalent consumer-protection law, you have a right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (or the local equivalent), with no reason needed.
Because the Service is digital content delivered immediately at checkout, this right is normally waived at the point of purchase. Paddle (our payment processor and Merchant of Record) collects this waiver explicitly during the checkout flow. Once the waiver is given and the Service has begun, the cooling-off right no longer applies — this is permitted by Article 16(m) of the Directive.
If you started checkout but did not give the waiver and have not used the Service yet, you may still cancel within 14 days for a full refund. Email [email protected] with your order ID and we will process it.
4. What Is Not Refundable
- Completed monthly or yearly periods. Once a billing period has been paid for, we do not refund any portion of that period — used or unused.
- Marketplace template purchases — non-refundable once the template has been downloaded or cloned, because the asset has effectively been delivered to you.
- Export-credit packs — non-refundable, but they never expire and remain on your account.
- Termination for breach. If we terminate your account for material breach of the Terms of Service (including license-key sharing, manifest tampering, or fraud), the prepaid balance is forfeited.
5. Chargebacks & Disputes
Please contact us at [email protected] before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Almost every situation is faster to resolve directly.
If you initiate a chargeback before contacting us or Paddle, your account will be suspended for the duration of the dispute. If the chargeback is upheld, the account stays suspended; if it is reversed, we reactivate the account.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are issued by Paddle.com Market Ltd back to the original payment method. Bank/card processing typically completes within 5–10 business days; the exact timing depends on your bank.
VAT / GST / sales tax included in the original purchase is refunded with the underlying amount.
7. Future Changes to This Policy
We may broaden refund eligibility in the future (for example a money-back window for unused yearly purchases). Any change that increases your rights takes effect immediately and applies to subsequent purchases. Material changes that reduce your rights — none are planned today — would be announced 30 days in advance per Terms §19.
